JCOM Designs was founded in 2002 and like most internet companies it was started in a home office repairing computers, programming, and web designing. Though the company was first established with the purpose of designing sites for others, it quickly became inundated with work, from the success of its own web projects.

Through a love and deep respect for pets the company created a site called Terrificpets.com, which quickly grew in traffic and within a year became one of the internet's top pet community sites. Also, during this time the company developed an internet based real estate website program called RapidListings.com. The popular program is currently being used by thousands of real estate agents, from across the United States and Canada.

To support current clients and continue development on new projects, JCOM has recruited a great staff of customer service managers, programmers, and designers. These experienced professionals have helped develop JCOM Designs into one of the largest web design companies in Eastern NC. JCOM Designs has went from 1 person to over 20 employees, in the last 8 years.
